What3words Precise Location Tracking
The TALKABOUT app integrates with what3words to help users communicate precise locations. What3words divides the world into approximately 10-foot squares, with each square assigned a unique three-word address. Motorola specifically designed this functionality to work for outdoor communication even when you're away from cellular service.

Motorola advertises the TALKABOUT T802 with a maximum voice communication range of up to 35 miles under optimum conditions. The T802 also supports an advertised data range of up to 20 miles.

License-Free FRS Communication
The Motorola T802 operates on FRS frequencies from 462–467 MHz, allowing license-free operation in the United States. The radio provides 22 FRS channels with 121 privacy codes per channel, giving families and groups plenty of options for coordinating communications without cellular service, subscription fees or monthly charges.
Bluetooth 5.2 Connectivity
The T802 features Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity for pairing with the TALKABOUT smartphone app and compatible Bluetooth audio accessories. Once configured through the TALKABOUT app, compatible Bluetooth headsets can connect to the radio, giving users additional flexibility for hands-free communication.
IP54 Weather-Resistant Design

An orange Emergency Alert button is located on the side of the T802 for quick access. Holding the button for approximately three seconds activates a loud alarm and hands-free transmission functionality, allowing you to broadcast a request for assistance to your group. The T802 also includes a built-in flashlight, providing a convenient additional light source for nighttime activities and emergencies.
Dual-Power Flexibility & USB-C Charging
The Motorola TALKABOUT T802 includes high-capacity 1300 mAh rechargeable NiMH battery packs, providing up to approximately 16 hours of battery life. For additional flexibility, the radios can also operate using 3 standard AA alkaline batteries, providing up to approximately 26 hours of operation. Modern USB-C charging makes recharging convenient at home, in the vehicle or while traveling.
